Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Shower Gels – Spring 2022

Happy April, everyone! No foolin’ around here today, I’m just sharing my favorite of the current shower gel offerings from Bath & Body Works. I’ve tested all sorts of different scents and spoiler alert: they’re all pretty fabulous.

They’ve got a wide selection of everything from sweet candied scents to clean, cottony offerings that will remind you of Grandma’s clean linens hanging out to dry in the springtime breeze. Many come in handy bundles so you can layer and keep your favorite scent with you throughout the entire day.

Without further ado, here’s my Bath & Body Works spring shower gel round-up:

Pink Pineapple Sunrise (sometimes known as ‘Costa Rica Pink Pineapple Sunrise’)

Super zingy! This fragrance is all about LOTS of pineapple paired with tangy citrus. Very refreshing with a sweet and tart fruity feel. I envision enjoying a citrusy mimosa alongside a bowl of yummy, ripe pineapple for brunch. Pineapple is definitely the star of this show and if you love the smell of it, this will be a must buy for you! I went with the moisturizing body wash, which my dry skin loves.

Pink Chiffon

• Notes: sparkling red pear, jasmine petals, tiare flower, vanilla orchid, chiffon musk

This longtime B&BW staple is a lovely, feminine, slightly sweet, fruity scent. It kind of reminds me of a fruity gummy bear candy! It has some similar elements of another B&BW staple, Hello Beautiful, (which has notes of white gardenia, jasmine petals, magnolia blossom, pink nectarine, and cotton musk). Add a hint of fruity sweetness and you get Pink Chiffon. I think it’s pretty safe to say that if you like Hello Beautiful, you’ll most likely enjoy this one, too.

Pear Crème Brûlée

• Notes: baked pear, caramelized sugar, whipped cream

YUM! This is a big like for this gourmand-lovin’ gal! This is essentially Christmas Cookies + a very realistic pear note. This fragrance smells exactly like a delicious pear crème brûlée dessert. A must for gourmand pear lovers! Also, if you’re missing Christmas Cookies in the spring, this one is for you!

Pastel Skies

• Notes: soft cloud berries, pink spun sugar, coconut musk

This is Pinkberry Cloud’s older, more mature sister. Actually it’s very similar to both Pinkberry Clouds and Boardwalk Taffy with the cotton candy/spun sugar + berry feel but with an added musk note. It’s not a ‘skanky’ musk but does lean slightly animalic and sticks with you for a while after your shower. Overall, it’s very clean and slightly sensual. Great for those who love a mixture of sweet gourmands and musk. If I’m being honest, I’d probably like it even better without the musk but then it would be almost identical to Pinkberry Clouds, which I already own (and I don’t need 2 that are exactly the same, lol)

Pure Wonder

• Notes: iced rosé, star jasmine, warm white amber

The first impression I get from this scent is a lovely, light peony. The other stand-out feel to me is a sort of tropical fruit candy impression that reminds me a bit of the tropical Hi-Chew flavors (mango, kiwi, etc.) I remember Waikiki Beach Coconut reminding me of them as well, so there must be a similar note or accord going on with these two. It’s a quite sweet and girly fragrance but I can see women of all ages enjoying this fun and flirty scent. This is an all-around pleasant and easy-to-wear fragrance.

Tutti Frutti Candy

• Notes: sweet jelly beans, mixed berries, sugared lemon

This seasonal offering is a sweet mix of zesty citrus fruits and fruity candy. It actually smells like a big bowl of citrus fruit and a bowl of jelly beans had a love child, lol! Similar in feel to Champagne Toast (with notes of bubbly champagne, sparkling berries, & juicy tangerine) but perhaps a touch sweeter and definitely minus the sparkling champagne note. Perfect for both young girls and the young at heart alike.

Fresh Coconut & Cotton

I love a good sweet and clean combo and this fresh scent delivers! This fragrance features a delicious, sweet, almost cotton candy-like coconut paired with a clean, lightly woodsy vibe. It leaves a fresh linen scent on your skin and also leaves your shower area smelling like paradise! Coconut fragrances are a favorite of mine and I really love this one. Great for a year-round fragrance but I have a feeling I’ll be using this one a ton this summer.

This one’s for my peeps that love a pure, clean scent with no sweetness, no fruitiness, and no frills. This one smells exactly like fresh, clean laundry pulled straight off the clothesline. This is the perfect choice for when you just want to feel squeaky clean and don’t want anything sweet or fruity. It’s also 100% unisex so can be shared throughout the household.
