Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Shower Gels – Summer 2022

And just like that, it’s June! This year is flying by ridiculously quickly and I can’t believe we’re already almost halfway through it. Have you made any fun summer travel plans? I think we’re staying put for the most part. We’re kind of homebodies to begin with and also hate leaving our cats for very long. Yeah, we’re those people, lol 😸

In fun, scented news, I have another Bath & Body Works Hall’s Haul for you guys! Today, I’m featuring my latest haul of summer 2022 shower gels. I’ve got 8 scents that I’ve been loving and want to share with you. There’s a little bit of everything, including my usual vanilla gourmands plus a couple of freshies and fruities. Pink Watermelon Blast

YUMMY! This sweet scent features the star of any proper summer picnic: juicy watermelon! This fresh and enjoyable fragrance reminds me so much of watermelon Jolly Rancher candy and/or watermelon Bubblicious gum. Young, playful, and fun, this is sure to become a favorite in the fruity gourmand fan’s summertime shower gel rotation.

Berry Waffle Cone

When I was a kid, at Halloween I used to love to mix Boo Berry and Franken Berry cereal together (ok, full disclosure, I still do this at Halloween 😉) Anyway, this shower gel smells EXACTLY like a bowl of that spooky cereal combo concoction! It’s sweet, fruity, vanillic, and one that the gourmand lovers and the young (at heart) will love.

Vanilla Confetti Sparkle

• Notes: creamy cake frosting, rainbow sprinkles, vanilla bean

This yummy fragrance will have you thinking of your favorite baked goods with lots of emphasis on vanilla. Reminiscent of a vanilla cupcake or yummy sugar cookies, this fragrance smells simply scrumptious. With all of the cozy vanilla feels, this is also quite appropriate for year-round use.

And speaking of year-round use, this is pretty much identical to Christmas Cookies and other B&BW fragrances like it (Merry Cookie, Sugared Snickerdoodle, or even Pear Crème Brûlée (minus the pear). I like it very much but if you already have Christmas Cookies or the others that are similar to it, you most likely won’t need this one, too. On the other hand, if you’ve used up all of your Christmas Cookies shower gel and/or find yourself missing that scent during the summer, this might be your perfect find!

Firecracker Pop

Cherry is definitely the star of this yummy show! It’s a cherry that’s sort of somewhere between the realistic fruit and a cherry hard candy. Actually, to me, it smells JUST like a cherry fruit leather! It’s fun, young, and on the sweet side though not into a sickly or cloying territory, in my opinion. If you reminisce about the classic tri-color Popsicle or fruit leather from your elementary school lunchbox, you’ll want to try this one out.

Midsummer Dream

• Notes: salted pear, fresh nectarine, seaside lily

This charming, feminine scent is packed full of lots of nectarine, salted pear, and beautiful lily. It’s very pretty and would layer nicely under any fruity floral perfume. One thing to note here is there is also an unlisted musk note. The musk leans more lightly animalic than laundry clean and gives the fragrance a warm and sensual feel.

Midnight Swim

Midnight Swim is a clean-feeling sea breeze scent. It reminds me of childhood summers spent at my Grandparents’ house in Long Beach, WA on the Pacific Coast. Easily unisex, this is a shower gel the whole family can share, despite the listed ‘beach flower’ note. This is not a ‘girly’ or flowery scent. It’s clean, breezy, and aquatic. A nice, fresh fragrance that’s invigorating, yet relaxing as it will take you away to a mini beachy vacay right in your own shower.

Summer Melody

• Notes: golden honeydew, bronzed vanilla

You guys know I always like to have at least one of B&BW’s Moisturizing Body Washes on hand for those days where my skin is extra dry and this lovely scent has fit that need nicely. The emphasis here is on the sweet honeydew. This fragrance gives the impression of eating a bowl of sweet vanilla bean ice cream with a scoop of honeydew sorbet on top. It also reminds me a bit of Tropical Fruit Life Savers (which, sadly, I think have been discontinued). It’s very sweet and very tropical fruity-floral.

BONUS FRAGRANCE – Beach Nights

• Notes: toasted marshmallow, sea salt breeze, s’mores accord, beach driftwood, creamy vanilla

This fragrance is listed as a bonus/honorable mention because I chose to get it in the body cream but it is also available in the shower gel as well. I was hoping this might be a woodsy, marshmallowy vanilla, similar to their Smoked Vanilla fragrance (which is my favorite scent of theirs), but it’s actually an identical dupe to their Vanilla Bean – which I love but already have in the body cream, room spray, and shower gel. It’s not woodsy, salty, or really marshmallowy but it is very delicious-smelling. It actually smells exactly like Nilla Wafers! I do love it, was just hoping for something a little different since I already have this exact scent.
