Happy summer, everyone! My utmost apologies for the lack of blog posts here over the last few months, I have been a busy bee over on my YouTube channel, creating lots of new content! I have been watching about 5 million (give or take) YouTube videos to teach myself how to edit with CapCut and it’s amazing how time-consuming that can be! So, now on to today’s topic: Bath & Body Works summer 2024 hand soaps!! I scored a bunch from their latest huge sitewide sale and also have a few from the end of last summer that I never got around to posting so there’s quite a few to discuss today! There’s a great variety of sweet gourmands, sunscreeny/beachy/coconutty scents, and woodsy scents that perfectly transition into fall.

Fiji White Sands
- Notes: white sands, vanilla orchid, warm amber, seaside jasmine
I’m going to kick off the list with one that I keep returning to, summer after summer: Fiji White Sands. This easy-to-love fragrance is a super yummy tropical scent that makes you feel like you’re on a dreamy island get-away. The comforting notes of jasmine, amber, and vanilla have a nice lingering power after you wash your hands. I also think there’s some tropical fruitiness here, I get sweet and tangy vibes, along with the floral notes. I also love the Wallflower version of this fragrance, it is the perfect summertime scent for a powder room.

Boardwalk Vanilla Cone
- Notes: marshmallow fluff, vanilla bean, creamy caramel
I knew I was going to love this one the second I saw the name! Then, I saw the notes and it sealed the deal! Vanilla, caramel, and marshmallow are top favorite notes of mine so I knew this one would be a slam dunk and sure enough, it is! I actually loved it so much that, as with the Fiji White Sands scent, I bought it two years in a row! Pair it with Imaginary Author’s delicious-smelling A Whiff of Waffle Cone to be fully immersed in the vanilla-caramel waffle cone experience!

Bronzed Sunset
- Notes: exotic coconut, island waves, soft musk
Another super fave of mine, I get lots of coconut and tiare flower/gardenia tropical floral vibes with Bronzed Sunset. The coconut here is lovely & light and reminds me of coconut water with perhaps a hint of old school coconut sunscreen. This gentle and refreshing clean scent lingers on hands afterwards for a good long time. If you love the Coco Paradise and Copper Coconut Sands scents (also by Bath & Body Works), you’ll love this!

Coconut Sandalwood
- Notes: coconut palm, luxurious sandalwood, warm musk
Lovely and gentle sandalwood and coconut blend beautifully here with the emphasis more on the sandalwood and the coconut as a lighter, supporting player (but it’s definitely there). Sandalwood can have light coconutty nuances so this is a perfect match. This is a wonderful and easy-going scent that can be used anywhere in the house. With its woodsy vibes, I find it to be 100% unisex. I also have the room spray (pictured above), which is a perfect scent for late summer heading into autumn.

Mahogany Coconut
- Notes: creamy coconut, mahogany woods, lavender
The most masculine, by far, all of the scents listed here, I get a very fresh, aquatic, aftershavey vibe with some woodsy touches. The coconut is very light here. it has much more of an aquatic sea breeze feel. This would be perfect for a swanky bachelor pad powder room. If you like the sound of the Coconut Sandalwood scent mentioned above but want something even more masculine, this one should be a great choice.

Beach Weather
- Notes: hibiscus petals, sunny coconut, breezy palm trees
This scent was new to me this year and I have to say that ‘Beach Weather’ is the perfect name for this fragrance! It truly smells like a beach! I get sand and driftwood impressions which make their ‘breezy palm trees’ fantasy note feel very accurate. There’s a lovely hibiscus note and a bit of fruitiness. The coconut is subtle but really nice. I really like this one and think it perfectly captures the feel of a tropical beach.

Honorable Mentions – these ones are a little bit more hit or miss to find:
Very Berry Crisp
- Notes: sweet berry blend, almond crumble, vanilla ice cream
‘Very Berry’ is the perfect way to describe this scent! I get mostly blueberry with a hint of raspberry. It’s sweet and a bit tangy. The ‘crumble’ part is there, too, I actually smell a buttery-ness! There’s also a plasticky ‘doll-head’ vibe. It smells exactly like the Blueberry Muffin doll from the Strawberry Shortcake line from when I was a child! It also reads as slightly ‘Play-Doh-y,’ and reminds me of a few perfumes that also have that impression: Byredo Slow Dance and Lolita Lempicka Le Parfum. Sometimes a salty vanilla/almond combo will give me that Play-Doh vibe; it’s really interesting and it’s an impression that I do really like. The strength of this scent is very solid. I can smell it around me for a good while as I type after washing my hands. Makes a great year-round kitchen scent.

Coconut Pineapple
- Notes: juicy pineapple, sugarcane, coconut milk
If you like piña coladas… then you’ll love this one! Super sweet and juicy pineapple pairs perfectly with yummy coconut to bring you this familiar tropical scent. I think it smells exactly like a piña colada so if that is a favorite drink for you, this may be worth tracking down!

Sedona Sands
- Notes: Mandarin sunset, desert woods, golden amber
This one is so nice! It smells WAY more posh than ‘just a B&BW scent.’ To me, it’s reminiscent of Byredo’s orangey scents, like their Pulp perfume and their Carrousel candle, with a prominent orange note combined with woodsy amber. A really lovely, sophisticated scent that lasts and lingers on your hands for a long time, this is a very high quality scent. Perfect for either kitchen or bathroom and will work well late summer into fall.
