And just like that, here we are: a week from Christmas and already into the fifth night of Hanukkah! Wow, the time is flying, friends! How are you doing? Are you getting everything done that you’d hoped to? I’m still frantically ordering a few gifts and crossing my fingers that they’ll be here in time!

Amongst all the craziness & busyness, I’m going to sneak in a quick review of a few wintry and holiday soaps that I’ve been enjoying this season. There are lots of warm, cozy scents here that will be perfect all through the winter months so it’s definitely not too late to check these out and enjoy them into the new year!
Here are my favorite Bath & Body Works winter/holiday 2025 hand soaps:
Crushed Candy Cane
- Notes: crunchy peppermint, white sugar crystals, frosted mint leaves

I’m going to kick off my list with Crushed Candy Cane. B&BW has done an excellent job of interpreting the essence of sweet, minty candy canes into a very yummy-scented soap. There’s a creaminess here that reminds me of one of my holiday favorites: yummy peppermint candy ice cream. If you enjoy sweet mint, this should be a slam dunk for you.

Baking Spirits Bright
- Notes: flaky croissant, sugar sprinkles, toffee crumble

This is a really interesting scent! From the notes, I expected a sweet, bready scent but it’s a bit different from that. I do get plenty of sweetness, it has a thick, rich, caramelized vibe but instead of a flakey bread note, I get more of an aromatic, woodsy scent. It actually reminds me of the popular perfume Gypsy Water by Byredo! If Gypsy Water were to ever have a flanker with a caramel note, I think it would smell just like this!

Cookie Butter Truffle
- Notes: cookie butter, whipped cream, vanilla extract

This one is decadent! If you have a major sweet tooth, you’ll probably want to check this one out. The cookie butter note is super yummy and I also get a vibe of thick, dripping caramel. This fragrance is very, very rich and as a gourmand lover, I really enjoy it. If you’re not a fan of sweet scents, though, you’ll probably want to avoid this one; I can see it being a bit on the sickly side for people who do not typically care for very sweet fragrances.

Whipped White Cocoa
- Notes: white chocolate, frothy milk and whipped cream

This is one of my very favorite Bath & Body scents! This charming fragrance has a beautiful, realistic powdered hot chocolate scent. It has a gently perfume-y quality about it that helps it to be sweet without being too sweet and gives it a touch of sophistication. It’s a definite love for me that I reach for year after year and one that holiday guests always notice and compliment.

Cherry Almond Shortbread
- Notes: vanilla shortbread, candied almond, cherry

I love the candy-like scent of cherry combined with almond so this one was a no-brainer for me to try! In fact, I published a whole blog post exploring Cherry/Almond Perfumes (check it out here!) The sweet cherry is very prominent and yummy-smelling here. There’s a bit of a powdery vanilla note here, too, that’s very pretty. If you’re a big fan of sweet candy-like cherry scents, this would be a great one to try.

Honorable Mention: Sugared Maple Lane
- Notes: maple drizzle, warm citrus sunshine, brown sugar

Sugared Maple Lane is a very interesting concoction of many traditional holiday aromas all wrapped into one. I definitely get lots of the listed notes: warm, rich brown-sugared maple combined with a bright citrus note reminiscent of holiday pomander balls. But I also think there’s an unlisted pine/evergreen tree note here, it really has a bit of a ‘Christmas tree’ essence in the mix, as well. This is a really interesting one but it has grown on me!

Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time finding it this year but B&BW is known to bring scents back from time to time (or to create new scents that smell the same/very similar to older scents) so it’s worth it to keep looking if this one sounds intriguing to you!

Happy Holidays, everyone!! 🎄🎅🏻❄️🎁🎉
P.S. check out my past B&BW Holiday/Winter Soap post here (2022)

Why is time going so fast? I am just getting used to fall!
I really enjoy Gypsy Water – it is one of my cool weather bedtime scents. So Baking Spirits Bright is interesting.
Whipped White Cocoa also sounds interesting. And I am really into cherry/almond lately, so that one is on the list too.
I’ve been working through the big bag of honeysuckle soap I bought this summer, it is not seasonal at all but it does the job lol.
It is an exciting time of year, with treats and presents and friends and family. I enjoy having a busy Christmas and then a cozy-stay-at-home NYE.
Happy Holidays!!!
Omigoodness, it is all flying by WAY. TOO. FAST! I am just now getting to replying because the last few weeks have been insane (but in the best way possible)!
