Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Winter/Holiday 2022 Hand Soaps

Here we are, already in mid-December! 😮😳😲😬 I’m not really sure how it’s already less than 2 weeks to Christmas but indeed it is and I personally still have a to-do list that’s a mile long! If you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, how are you doing with shopping and plans? Have you checked out my Fabulous Holiday Gift Guide yet? There are some great gift ideas there for the whole family. Hopefully, you’re not as behind as I am! 😂

My favorite B&BW Winter 2022 hand soaps

Today, I wanted to share my latest B&BW haul with you. This is actually part one of my haul, I have a part two with shower gel coming later this week. These soaps make fantastic stocking stuffers, so if you are still looking for some last-minute ideas, I got you. Many of these are available at Amazon, too, so will arrive quickly with their trusty Prime shipping. Here are my favorite fragrances from their current line-up (plus a couple from last year that I’m still loving!):

Winter

  • Notes: spiced orange, fir balsam, & clove buds

This is a holiday pomander ball in hand soap form! If you’ve never made your own pomander ball, it’s super easy and a ton of fun, especially if you have littles in your life who would enjoy making them with you. Check out Better Homes & Gardens’ guide on how to make them here. Back to the soap, I might also liken this fragrance to the smell of Christmas trees plus fresh satsuma oranges. Definitely a quintessential holiday scent that’s perfect in a kitchen around the Holidays.

Vanilla Snowflake

  • Notes: creamy vanilla, toasted coconut, and sparkling citrus
I always love a good vanilla/coconut combo!

This is actually a fragrance I bought on sale at the end of last year’s season but it’s now available at Amazon and I really love it so I wanted to feature it here. It’s a really beautiful, clean vanilla with a tiny kiss of coconut. It’s not super sweet like some B&BW vanillas, it’s more elevated, grown-up, and feminine. A little bit in a similar family with Snowflakes & Cashmere but less powdery. Other than the packaging being really seasonal, I think you could easily use this fragrance year-round. Vanilla/coconut lovers cannot go wrong with this one.

This fragrance would actually be great year-round

Christmas Coconut Brittle

  • Notes: toasted coconut, caramelized cashews, cinnamon swirl
Omigoodness, this smells SOOOOO delish!

Where my fellow gourmand lovers at? This LITERALLY smells like brittle! It’s nutty, toffee-ish, and smells absolutely delicious! A very realistic nutty brittle scent with a small kiss of coconut. SO GOOD! Smelling it makes me want to make my own homemade brittle and fill my kitchen with that heavenly aroma. Pro-tip: this fragrance does it for you without all the work! Another great holiday kitchen scent and absolutely a HUGE love for me!

Now, I want to make some cashew brittle!

Glistening Gumdrops

  • Notes: sparkling gumdrops, juicy orange, Holiday spice
Super fun fragrance!

These do, in fact, smell just like sweet gumdrops with just a smidgen of spice. They particularly remind me of the orange ones that come with the ‘spice drops’ type of gumdrops. This is a sweeter, more kid-friendly version of the ‘Winter’ scent mentioned above. A fun, playful, and sweet scent, perfect for a kitchen or child’s bathroom.

They really nailed the scent of orange spice gumdrops

Marshmallow Fireside

  • Notes: toasted marshmallow, smoldering woods, fire-roasted vanilla
I’m obsessed with this scent!

This is probably my favorite of the bunch, a beautiful and quite subtle smoky vanilla. Smoky vanillas are my favorite kind of scent (By the Fireplace is the closest thing I have to a signature fragrance) and this is my VERY favorite kind of smoky vanilla – clean and sophisticated. It’s also cozy and perfect for winter. This is a scent I also always keep on hand in both candle and Wallflower form. The room spray is also quite nice, if you can find it (sometimes can be tricky when out of season). If you’re a lover of smoky vanillas like I am, definitely check this one out!

If you love smoky vanilla scents, this is a must try!

Moonlit Flurries

  • Notes: cozy sandalwood, warm clove, winter vanilla
Sandalwood heaven!

Sandalwood lovers, here’s the one for you! This is a beautiful, refined sandalwood fragrance that smells WAY more expensive than it is. It’s light, airy, gentle, clean, and has a light vanilla background. Not sweet and more grownup. I would actually love this exact scent in a perfume, it’s really that beautiful. A must-buy for sandalwood lovers!

A really elegant and airy sandalwood

Snowy Alpine Mountain

  • Notes: crisp air, cedarwood, clean musk
We always keep this one in the bathroom my husband mainly uses

This is another one from last year that is still available on Amazon (linked below). This fragrance leans more masculine and actually reminds me a LOT of the classic men’s fragrance, Drakkar Noir. This is a great scent for a guy’s bathroom. The scent is also quite long-lasting and lingers on your hands for a long time after you wash them. I adore the super, SUPER cute packaging, love the skiers!

The little skiers on the packaging are so cute!

Honorable Mention: Vanilla Icicles

  • Notes: whipped vanilla, amber woods, iced jasmine
Dang, this one sold out SO quickly!

This is REALLY different than what I was expecting from the listed notes! It’s actually kind of ‘cough-droppy,’ lol I get sort of a camphorous/citrusy vibe from this. It’s very woodsy and NOT a sweet/gourmand vanilla at ALL. That said, I still really like this as it reminds me a touch of Diptyque’s Narguilé candle, which features honey, spices, and tobacco leaves. This one is an honorable mention because it’s already sold out online!! And I JUST bought this! Maybe check at brick & mortar store locations, if possible, and/or keep checking Amazon as it will most likely show up there eventually.

Has slight menthol/cough drop vibes

So, there’s my faves from this year’s selection of Bath & Body Works’ hand soaps. Lots of vanilla, as always! But also some orange, sandalwood, coconut, and woodsy vibes. What is your favorite wintry fragrance? Do you have a B&BW go-to that you look forward to using around the holidays every year? Tell me all about it in the comments!

  1. Oh, pomander balls! So Christmassy and smell amazing. Loving all the spices in your photos, especially the star anise (that’s what those are I think?).

Moonlit Flurries, Snowy Alpine Mountain, and Winter sound most up my alley.

Wintertime candles I like lots of fir and christmas tree style scents. Lately been a bunch of apple cider style candles from TJ Maxx/Marshalls. Winter scents are Diptyque Volutes and Tam Dao. I also have this really wonderful scent by L’Artisan Parfumer called Saffron Troublant. It’s got saffron and marshmallow – really special. Also Chanel Bois des Iles, which is sort of a gingerbread sandalwood. Delish.

    1. Thank you so much! 💞 And yes to the star anise! Aren’t they beautiful?? Nature is so cool, the shapes and beauty that occur naturally blow my mind! ⭐

Oooh, yes to the tree scents! Apple cider sounds fantastic, too. We’ve been cycling between 5 or 6 B&BW candles this season, my favorite is the Vanilla Balsam one, a combo of my two faves! 🌲

Mmmm… yes to those perfumes! I don’t think I’ve tried that particular L’Artisan OR that Chanel one yet, I need to get on that! 💖
