Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Winter/Holiday 2021 Shower Gels

The holidays are officially over and I think most of us are now looking to declutter a bit in the fresh new year. I personally always find January to be a little bittersweet. Taking down a gorgeous tree that provided a wonderful, cheery light source during the darkest time of the year tends to make me feel a little blue. But I also love the feeling of how clean and refreshed my house feels once I put everything away.

Cozy, wintry fragrances

One way to prolong the seasonal fun a little longer (while still maintaining the tidy house!) is to take advantage of some of the wonderful after-holiday sales on self-care items. I’ve been enjoying a little post-holiday indulgence lately in the form of fragrant wintry Bath & Body Works shower gels. And at the time of this writing, there is an INCREDIBLE sale going on through January 21, 2022. Some of these are priced as low as mind-blowing $3.37!! 🤯

Who doesn’t love a great sale?

A few of these fragrances are currently sold out on B&BW’s website so for those particular scents, I have linked to Amazon as well, where you can purchase them for now. But I also would suggest checking back with B&BW because I’ve noticed in the past that they do have a tendency to re-stock during sales. An item you can’t find today just might be back tomorrow. And of course, there’s also the option of checking in person at your local brick & mortar B&BW store. I was at mine yesterday and they still had a ton of seasonal stock.

A lineup of wonderful wintry shower gel options

Here’s my thoughts on 8 of my favorite cozy fragrances:

Frosted Coconut Snowball

  • Notes: frosted coconut, North Pole vanilla, winter freesia, snow-kissed woods, spun sugar
Can’t go wrong with the vanilla/coconut combo

This is a perfect coconut/vanilla blend and one of my very favorites. Very reliable fragrance; if you love a coconut/vanilla combo, you cannot go wrong with this. Despite the seasonal name, this is great for year-round wear. The coconut pushes it easily into a spring/summer feel while the cozy vanilla makes it perfect for cooler months.

Cotton Candy Champagne

  • Notes: bubbly rosé, sweet strawberry, pink sugar
Tiny bubbles

YUM! This is exactly as described. A sweet strawberry cotton candy with a light and sparkling ‘champagne’ feel to it. If you like their Pinkberry Clouds and Boardwalk Taffy fragrances, you’ll love this one, too. HUGE love for this sweet gourmand lover! 🙋‍♀️

Sugared Snickerdoodle

  • Notes: warm snickerdoodle spices, creamy vanilla, sugared musk
Cinnamon-y goodness

HEAVENLY! Oh my goodness, this is heavy on the sweet cookie goodness and smells so delicious, you’ll almost wish you could eat it! It really does smell exactly like fresh, buttery cookies baking in the oven. I purchased this fragrance as a Wallflower last year and I was so pleased to see that they’ve expanded the range to include items such as this shower gel.

A scrumptious fragrance

If you like their Merry Cookie or Christmas Cookies scents, this is right in that same family! In fact, the shower gel is very similar to the Christmas Cookies shower gel. The snickerdoodle has more cinnamon (not surprisingly) and is a touch lighter. Christmas Cookies is slightly deeper with the caramel and woods. But both are sweet and yummy and if you like one, you’ll definitely like the other. Also, you probably don’t need to own both at the same time since they are so very similar.

Christmas Cookies

  • Notes: creamy cookie dough, almond biscotti, caramel woods

Speaking of Christmas Cookies, this scent is positively yummy! This gourmand delight is reminiscent of a caramel/almond biscotti. With the aforementioned deeper feel from the ever-so-slightly woodsy note, this is a sweet treat with a little depth to it. I also have the body cream in this fragrance and love to pair the two together to feel enveloped in ultimate cookie goodness!

How CUTE is this ‘ugly holiday sweater’ cookie??

Vanilla Bean Noel

  • Notes: fresh vanilla bean, sugar cookies, warm caramel, whipped cream, snow-kissed musk
A classic B&BW holiday fragrance

This is one of my all-time favorite vanilla fragrances from a company that creates MANY vanilla fragrances and does them well. It’s quite possibly the perfect vanilla. It lists sugar cookies as a note and that hits the nail on the head. Also reminiscent of a delicious vanilla Funfetti cake with a hint of marshmallow in the icing.

One of my favorite vanillas

I also have the hand soap in this fragrance and find it to be slightly deeper than the shower gel with a more pronounced caramel note. But it’s equally delicious-smelling. Every vanilla gourmand lover should own at least one item from this fragrance’s collection!

Snowflakes & Cashmere

  • Notes: vanilla cashmere cream, caramel woods, frosted clementine
A very classy scent

This lovely, sophisticated, and feminine scent is just plain pretty. A nice balance of all of the listed notes, there’s a touch of citrus from the clementine, a hint of vanilla, and some light woods. This is the absolute definition of the perfect sweater weather fragrance. Pair with a spritz of the fine fragrance mist or body lotion to feel beautiful all day long.

I look forward to this one every year

Winterberry Wonder

  • Notes: ruby frost winterberry, sparkling cranberry, crystal vanilla
A lovely & tart fragrance

If your favorite holiday treat involves a sparkling cranberry beverage, this will be your jam! Super heavy on the cranberry, this is a refreshing and tart-fruity scent. Very enjoyable and a little different from the usual sweeter berries and fruits used in many of B&BW’s other fragrances. In a similar family with their Forever Red fragrance but definitely its own thing.

In the Stars

  • Notes: starflower, sandalwood musk, sugared tangelo, white agarwood, radiant amber
Lovely amber/fruity/woodsy combo

While technically not a seasonal holiday offering, there’s something about this fragrance that has always reminded me of the holidays. The warm amber combined with sugared citrus fruits just feels so festive to me. I love that this is a year-round signature scent that I can always find there.

  1. Those cookies are so cute! And I love the birch wood slices. So sweet!

From the descriptions I like the Snowflakes & Cashemere, Winterberry Wonder and In the Stars. I wish they sold tiny travel bottles of the body washes. I take forever to get through body washes, still have a mostly full Lush Rose Jam 10ish oz bottle that is mostly full….think I got that for Christmas 2020?

Anyway! Thanks for another fun post 🙂 xo

    1. Omigoodness, I somehow missed your sweet comment, apologies for my late reply! 💌

I love the travel-sizes, too. They have them sometimes but they seem to be kind of rare lately. And they don’t have them for every fragrance, which is too bad. I have a hard time getting through all of them, too. I’ve started sharing them with my sisters and nieces since I keep buying more to review here and just can’t get through them all, lol

I love Lush! I need to do a post about them soon! 🧼
