Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Holiday/Winter 2021 Candles

Happy mid-December! We’re officially at the weekend before Christmas! 😲 If you celebrate, how’re you doing? Are you ready?? Because I am decidedly NOT there yet 😂 My husband and I will be among the masses frantically purchasing last-minute gifts this weekend and I can tell you, my anxiety about the crowds is already dialed up to 11. But we’ll somehow get it all done, we always do.

One of my favorite ways to relax and decompress from all of the holiday stress is to light a lovely holiday-themed scented candle while I go over my shopping list, sip some eggnog, or enjoy my 46th yearly viewing of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Today, I’d like to share with you my favorite holiday Bath & Body Works 3-wick candles that all have a delicious gourmandish quality about them. These delectable fragrances will have you feeling relaxed and cozy in no time!

Pro-tip: keep your eyes open for B&BW’s notorious holiday and end of year sales for special deals on these candles. A few of these I snagged at the end of last year for a mere song. They have all sorts of deals on these throughout the season so it’s great to look out for those specials. Another tip: these popular candles sell out on B&BW’s website frequently. Sometimes they’ll release another batch of them but if you ever find that a fragrance you desired has disappeared completely from their website, it’s worth looking on Amazon – sometimes they’re even available there at clearance prices. And of course, it’s also worth looking in person at your local B&BW physical location.

Now, on to my favorite Bath & Body Works candle fragrances for the 2021 Holiday season!

Gingerbread Marshmallow

• Notes: gingerbread spice, eggnog, spiced rum, vanilla frosting, brown sugar crystals

Lots of yummy holiday spice to love here! If you’re a fan of gingerbread baking away in the oven, this candle will be a must-have. Get that wonderful aroma wafting throughout the house any time of the year, minus all of the time-consuming baking! There’s an extra something-something with the added sweet marshmallow and yummy eggnog notes but the star of the show here is definitely the spicy gingerbread.

Holiday Cheers

• Notes: warm vanilla, spiced rum, a dash of nutmeg

With notes of rum and nutmeg, this tasty concoction will remind you of a yummy, spicy holiday drink at a festive cocktail party. Out of all of these fragrances, I would say this also has a bit of a masculine lean to it as well. There’s something a little fresh and outdoorsy in the mix here. This would make a great gift for the cocktail connoisseur guru on your list.

Pink Fairy Gumdrop

• Notes: sparkling sugared berries, pink cotton candy, sprinkle of fairy dust

Who’s like me and obsessed with how wonderful the inside of an Anthropologie store smells? I’ll admit I had some slight trepidation that with a name like ‘Pink Fairy Gumdrop’ this might be a little too sugary sweet, even for a gourmand lover such as myself. But it surprised me by smelling exactly like the heavenly aroma of an Anthro interior!

I actually already own a candle made to smell like an Anthro store that my best friend gave to me (and it’s also amazing!) but sadly, the company that made it appears to no longer be in business 😭 so I’m happier than ever to have found this alternative!

Pink Fairy Gumdrop (at Amazon)

Whipped Coffee

• Notes: shot of espresso, whipped sweet cream, two pumps of caramel syrup, sugar crystals

If the scent of a caramel macchiato sends your heart singing, this will be your new favorite candle! All of the listed notes are well-represented here and perfectly bring to life the yummy aroma of your favorite local coffee shoppe. A cozy and comforting scent that’s perfect for the kitchen.

Salted Caramel Eggnog

• Notes: gooey caramel, fresh sea salt, dulce de leche, sweet whipped cream

This candle already had me at ‘Salted Caramel’ and then when I also saw ‘Eggnog,’ the deal was officially sealed! As expected, it smells super yummy and like all of the best cozy aromas of the season. It never fails to make me crave an eggnog latte every time I light it.

French Baguette

• Notes: slow-rising dough, crispy crust, a fresh-out-of-the-oven aroma

I bought this candle during one of last year’s sales and as such, it has last year’s design, which is perfectly fine but I ADORE this year’s super cute owl design. I almost bought another one this year just because of that owl (and I might still do it, lol) Anyway, this scent is super delish and truly smells like fresh bread baking. Highly recommended for every kitchen.

Caramel Drizzle

• Notes: sugar cane crystals, melted butter, whisked sweet cream

As a huge lover of caramel, I have no problem lighting this candle year-round but it’s especially cozy in the cooler months. This fragrance is a perfectly accurate representation of thick, rich caramel and smells absolutely dreamy. At the time of this writing, this candle is available in 2 different styles of packaging; one is holiday-themed with cute gingerbread men and presents depicted on it and the other is in a gold and white plaid.

Vanilla Balsam

• Notes: balsam fir, frosted vanilla, snowcapped pine needles
• This Fragrance Also Available In: single-wick candle, concentrated room spray

This fragrance does a brilliant job of combining my favorite note, vanilla, with the beloved wintry note of balsam fir. This combo is absolutely addictive and the perfect blend of sweet and woodsy. It has a festive Christmas tree vibe with a little something extra. I enjoyed this one so much, I’m planning to snag the room spray, too. 😁

Smoked Vanilla

• Notes: creamy vanilla, smoked sandalwood, rich bourbon

This is almost a dead-ringer for my very favorite fragrance in the world, Diptyque’s Vanilla candle, but for a fraction of the cost. An incredibly sophisticated and addicting blend of rich vanilla and smoky woods, this scentsational fragrance is delightful year-round. B&BW also offered this fragrance a few years back as a Wallflower refill and I was so sad that it disappeared after the holidays and it doesn’t seem to be available every year. I was thrilled to see that they brought it back in candle form this year and if you love this scent as much as I do, I recommend stocking up because it may or may not be back next year.
