Hall’s Haul: Bath & Body Works Winter/Holiday 2022 Shower Gels

Hi friends! How are the holidays treating you so far? This can be a tricky time of the year; there’s so much going on and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. It’s also easy, in the midst of all the chaos, to find yourself on the bottom of your own to-do list. I hope you are able to find some quiet moments for yourself and get some self-care in. 💗

I’m back today with part two of my recent Bath & Body Works haul and this one is all about holiday/winter-scented shower gels. These are my 6 favorite and all of them were new to me this year. Hopefully, these lovely-scented fragrances will help you to relax in a cozy bath or at the very least, a quick shower before the next holiday shindig!

Wrapped in Vanilla

• Notes: soft vanilla, velvet sugar, Chantilly crème

With a name like ‘Wrapped in Vanilla…’ well, of course, I just had to try it! And I can confirm, this is a vanilla lover’s dream! This fragrance is reminiscent of B&BW’s popular holiday sugar cookie scent, Christmas Cookies, but with a deeper, ambery base. It’s sort of like a lovechild of Christmas Cookies and Library of Flowers’ True Vanilla (one of my all-time favorite fragrances!) It’s got some sweetness but is not overly sugary or childish. If you’re a vanilla lover, I don’t think you can go wrong with this one. I absolutely love it!

Vanilla Mocha Martini

• Notes: cozy cappuccino, vanilla orchid, white tonka bean

This is a very yummy chocolatey scent. It reminds me of the scent of hot cocoa powder. I do not get a strong coffee note from this, it’s really more about the sweet chocolate. It’s an overall sweet, cozy, and fun scent. I would say this is in a similar vein with past B&BW fragrances Vanilla Mocha Café and Vanilla Mocha Cream from a few years ago. A great choice for chocolate lovers!

Blush Cardigan

• Notes: sweet raspberries, sugar-dipped violet, warm amber

This is a beautiful, more sophisticated, more ‘perfumey’ berry scent. It’s warm, beautiful, feminine, and more grown-up than some of the other berry fragrances from B&BW that are sweeter, more youthful, and sugary. This is not overly sweet and not as ‘edible’ smelling as something like the Strawberry Snowflakes or Iced Sugar Plum fragrances mentioned here. If you love perfumes like Burberry Her, this will be a great choice and would actually layer perfectly with Her. With the raspberry-violet notes, it would also match beautifully with ‘lipsticky’ and ‘makeupy’ fragrances like Maison Margiela Replica’s Lipstick On (sadly discontinued and difficult to find but Scent Split sometimes still carries decants), Juliette Has a Gun’s Lipstick Fever, Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose, Chanel’s Misia, and Guerlain’s French Kiss (also discontinued, bummer).

Strawberry Snowflakes

• Notes: juicy strawberry, whipped cream, iced bergamot

YUM, YUM, YUMMY! This is the perfect warm, cozy, wintry strawberry. It has a deep, rich, ambery, caramelized vibe. To me, it’s a richer, warmer version of many popular berry/cotton candy B&BW scents. If you love the sweet/gourmand berry candy B&BW scents like Boardwalk Taffy, Pinkberry Clouds, and Cotton Candy Clouds, this will be your perfect winter/cooler weather match!

Cozy Evening

• Notes: lavender blooms, fresh freesia, cozy musk

Oooh, this is good! Not exactly what I was expecting from the notes but this actually has a slight Baccarat Rouge 540 vibe! It’s warm, rich, cozy, and musky/ambroxan-y. There’s a bit of a fresh, powdery vibe from the freesia and lavender combo. It leaves a very musky impression on the skin so you’ll need to like musk to enjoy this one. I would put this in a similar family with two other B&BW fragrances, In the Stars and Fairytale; if you already like those fragrances, this would be a great one to check out.

Iced Sugar Plum

• Notes: sparkling sugar plum, snowdrop petals, whipped marshmallow

This is a sweet, cakey plum fragrance. It smells a lot like vanilla baked goods plus jammy plums. It reminds me a lot of their Strawberry Pound Cake and Raspberry Jam Donut fragrances. If you like those types of vanilla cakey-berry jam fragrances, this would make a great wintry scent for you.
