A Whiff of Spring: Some Favorite Spring Scented Candles

As the calendar switches over to March, I’m sure I’m not the only one looking forward to the promise of warmer, brighter days to come. And, of course, the pandemic only amplifies that cabin fever feeling many (most? all?) of us have been experiencing. Since, in my neck of the woods, I’m probably still a good couple of months away from any actual warmth, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands and bring some spring into my house via some lovely-scented candles. Here are 6 scents that are ushering spring into my home early!

Voluspa Mokara

Voluspa’s Mokara

Voluspa creates some of the most gorgeous scents I’ve ever experienced and at the top of my list of faves is this delightful one that combines Mokara orchid, white lily, and spring moss. This scent has been my go-to when I’m entertaining outdoors and want to set a table that smells as lovely as it looks. The heavenly scent wafts in the breeze and transports you to a paradise of blossoming spring flowers. It is equally wonderful inside the home when the weather is not cooperating for outdoor hosting just yet.

Mokara orchid, white lily, & spring moss = heavenly!

Another reason to love Voluspa? Their prices are incredibly reasonable for exceptional and unique scents that rival way more expensive candlemakers. Their candles come in various sizes, depending on your needs, and many of the scents are also available in room sprays and reed diffusers. Always nice to have options!

Frères Branchiaux Love Jones

I am extra excited to talk about this next one because I love the story behind this product so much! Three brothers were having a typical conversation with their parents that many children have, asking for a higher allowance so they could purchase more video games. Mom & Dad suggested they find a way to make their own money and a new business was born! The Gill brothers are involved in every facet of their business from creating their own unique scents to hand pouring the candles.

And it’s not just a feel-good story, these luxurious candles are legit! The scent I’m featuring today is a lovely and sophisticated concoction of fruit and flowers including apples, peaches, lilac, jasmine, and cherry blossom.

Love Jones, an elegant and fruitful scent

Their candles are vegan and hand poured in small batches in Washington DC. When you support this company, you are supporting: a small, family-owned business; a black-owned business; a business that supports their community; and a business that gives back, including donating 10% of their profits to homeless shelters. What’s not to love about that?

Diptyque Figuier

If you are not yet familiar with the lovely world of Diptyque, may I introduce one of the most sophisticated and elegant fragrance houses from Paris. You may recall I mentioned my favorite candle of all time, their Vanille, and their lovely Eau Duelle perfume in my article about vanilla perfumes and today I want to show you this gorgeous incarnation of their Figuier (fig tree) candle.

Diptyque’s beautiful Figuier candle

For their 60th anniversary, they have introduced a limited edition line of some of their most popular fragrances, including Figuier, that features a mod ‘dancing ovals’ design. The groovy op art graphics enhance their already beautiful and iconic packaging.

  1. Hi Jen! Am still burning a winter pine candle, since I always get a few of them in fall and then hoard them for a couple months before burning them.
I love your candle round-up, and I am going to have to check out the Love Jones candles once I get through my pine hoard 🙂

    1. Oh I love the pine ones, too! That’s so smart to stock up on them. Did you see that Votivo has started carrying Icy Blue Pine year-round?! They get it! 🌲 And yay for Love Jones! I’m debating which candle to get next from Frères Branchiaux, they have some really great scents to choose from. Their Vanilla Spice is also amazing, it smells like freshly-baked snickerdoodles! 🤤
