If you are looking for a specific pumpkin candle scent, you’ll need look no further than DW. They have THE most impressive selection of pumpkin candles I’ve ever beheld. This year, there are a staggering TWELVE pages of pumpkin scent-themed candles to choose from on their website. Every combination you can possibly imagine is represented. I honestly had a hard time only choosing a few, I’d love to try them all.

Autumnal Heaven!

I’m going to start my ode to this brand with their Heirloom Pumpkin + Bourbon candle, which I first discovered a few years ago. This was my introduction to DW and I knew right away I had found a new favorite candle brand. This particular candle was actually a lucky score at HomeGoods. I highly recommend searching there for DW candles, where you can sometimes find their already reasonably-priced goods at a discount.

Channels the best autumnal cooking aromas

This candle smells like autumnal heaven. It’s like an amalgam of every delicious favorite fall dessert. If you love fall cooking spices, you will adore this. I also love the packaging it’s presented in, with the beautiful walnut-colored wooden top and leather tab; this candle looks sharp with any décor.

A favorite seasonal ‘Cup of Joe’

This scent is not overly coffee-ish to me, I actually get a lot of coconut with this, though that’s not a listed note. Overall it’s quite yummy! There are several other candles in this ‘Cup of Joe’ collection, as well, including: Warm Apple Cider, Jelly Bean Latte, Maple Cinnamon Latte, Chai Latte, Salted Caramel Latte, Salted Caramel Mocha, Pumpkin Spice Cocoa, Caffè Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and Himalayan Sea Salt Latte. Honorable Mentions

I wanted to also give a quick shout-out to a few other pumpkin options that I don’t currently own but either want to try or have had in the past:

  • Frères Branchiaux’s Pumpermint – I’m interested in trying this minty take on pumpkin from one of my favorite family-owned small businesses, Frères Branchiaux. The notes read like a greatest hits of holiday delights: peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, ginger, nutmeg, berry, cream, pumpkin, clove, vanilla bean, chocolate, cinnamon bark, and caramel. Whew! That’s a lot of yumminess in one candle!
  • P.F. Candle Co.’s Spiced Pumpkin – With their ultra cool minimal apothecary packaging and sophisticated scents, P.F. Candle Co. is a favorite of many stylish folks. I’ve somehow yet to try their Spiced Pumpkin scent but it’s on the wish list. Side note: sit tight for a review of their Vanilla & Ghost Pepper candle coming from me soon!
  • Yankee Candle Harvest – Perennial favorite Yankee Candle has several delightful seasonal scents to choose from, but I always find myself reaching for long-time fave, Harvest. With notes of cinnamon, cloves, sweet apples, and pumpkin, it’s literally the essence of autumn captured in jar.
Which one’s your fave??

  1. Mmmm fall 🙂 It is nice to have things that mark the entrance to new seasons. Something fun to look forward to. I love making pumpkin bread this time of year, with pecans on top. IT sjust doesn’t hit the same during the other seasons.
I am not much of a gourmand lover, sweet scents tend to give me a headache or make my stomach turn. Definitely not yucking your yum, I love that there is more marshmallow for you!
I love a pine scented candle, and as the weather gets colder I can tolerate the sweetness of amber better. In fact am burning an amber candle now (my mini Diptyque that I portion out 30 minutes at a time). For fall/winter I also love moss, sandalwood/cedar and citrus, non-sugary vanillas, as well as most florals except lily and gardenia. I had a gardenia candle that I hate-burned in the kitchen this summer just to get it over with. Just too much.
I do absolutely love shopping for candles at TJMaxx, Homegoods etc. It’s just fun to see what there is, even if I end up gagging over half of them, lol.

    1. Oh wow, pumpkin bread with pecans sounds sooo yummy! 🤤 I bet your kitchen smells so amazing when you make that!

LOL at ‘yucking your yum!!’ 🤣 I definitely understand the sweet gourmands are not everyone’s cup of tea and for sure the vanilla marshmallow candle mentioned in this post is REEEEEEALLY sweet! But I think you might like the pumpkin bonfire one. It’s like a fall-themed version of our beloved Feu de Bois 🔥 Speaking of Diptyque, I have that amber one, too, also in a small size. So lovely and perfectly autumn-like 🧡

Mmmm… a good woodsy fragrance is worth it’s weight in gold. Sandalwood done right is amazing. Have you tried Voluspa’s Santal Vanille yet? It’s sandalwood, oud, and vanilla bourbon. To die for!!!

Gardenia’s tricky for me, too. It’s just SO strong and has a tendency to take over. White flowers, in general, can be hit or miss for me.

Hahaha, I feel you. Going through the candles in those discount stores, you take the bad and the ugly along with the good! 😄

      1. I’ll look for it next time time I do my mall cardio, because that does sound good. Will keep an eye out for the Voluspa Santal Vanille, too! I am usually in a retail therapy mood on the weekends these days 🙂
