Happy summer, we’re officially here! We’re expecting a mini heatwave in my region this week; thank goodness we prepared and bought a couple of new fans this season. But an even funner way I prepared for summer this year was by stocking up on a few new Bath & Body Works summer 2026 hand soaps!
I took advantage of Bath & Body Works’ awesome on-going 5 for $28 hand soap offer and snatched up 5 new soaps, 3 of which were ‘brand new to me’ scents. I also have 3 other scents from last summer (and/or the summer before – ?) that I never got around to featuring here so I’m tacking those onto this blog post as well.
Seaside Sweater
Notes: creamy vanilla, golden amber, ‘cozy sweater’
This scent was brand-new to me this year. B&BW is famous for their holiday fan fave, ‘Sweater Weather,’ so I think this could possibly be a summer ‘flanker’ to that popular scent – ? It prominently features a clean, synthetic musk, a lightly-sweet vanilla, and a linen-like note that they’re calling ‘cozy sweater.’ There’s also a bit of a solar, sunscreen-y type vibe here. Despite the name (and sunscreen-like vibe), I wouldn’t necessarily call this a super ‘beachy’ scent; there’s nothing that smells sea-like or ocean breezy here.
There’s a plasticky note here that reminds me a little of “Vacation” perfume!
The fabulous vanilla is probably the top star but it definitely has synthetic, plasticky undertones so you’ll need to be ok with that. It almost has a ‘beachball-like’ vibe that reminds me of the fun fantasy notes of ‘swimsuit fabric’ and ‘swimming pool water’ featured in the popular summertime fave, “Vacation” perfume.

Aloe & Lily Blossoms
Notes: soothing aloe, lily blossoms, clean musk
Aloe & Lily Blossoms is a gentle, clean, cottony, white floral fragrance. It’s what I might refer to as a ‘sharp’ scent; it’s not really sweet, it’s more clean and crisp. I feel like there could possibly be some lemon or other citrus here. It’s very pleasant and easy-going. If you love scents that have a ‘laundry-clean’ white floral scent, this should be right up your alley.

Berry Almond Drizzle
Notes: homegrown berries, honeyed almonds, vanilla bean
Oooh, this girl is MUSKY!!! I wasn’t expecting this fragrance to have such a strong musk scent to it! There’s a synthetic musk note that’s really, really popular right now and many perfumers have been adding it to EVERYTHING the last few years (I complained about this in my B&BW Cozy-Scented Body Wash haul from last spring). Anyway, if you can get past that musk, the other notes here are fabulous: sweet berries, yummy almond, and cozy vanilla. This scent goes really well in the kitchen, which is where I’ve been using mine.

Poppy
Notes: ‘fresh morning dew,’ wild poppies, sugared rhubarb, juicy pear
This clean, fresh, fruity scent has been a favorite of mine for a while now (I’ve spoken about it before in a summer shower gel haul). To me, it’s ‘a ‘shampoo-y’ scent and I mean that in the best way possible! It’s very clean with touch of light, juicy pear that brings a lovely fruitiness to it. There’s also a slightly floral aspect. I would put it in a similar family with B&BW’s super popular Gingham scent, Beautiful Day (talked about more below), and fresh perfume fragrances like DKNY Be Delicious and Marc Jacobs Daisy.

Beautiful Day
Notes: wild daisies, pink peonies, sun-kissed apples
Beautiful Day is also a perennial fave of mine and I tend to crave it most in the spring and early summer but it is easily a year-round scent. It’s fresh, clean, and features crisp apple and one of my all-time favorite floral notes, lovely peony, As with Poppy (mentioned above), if you favor fresh floral-fruity fragrances like DKNY Be Delicious and Marc Jacobs Daisy, you’ll want to give this popular B&BW scent a sniff!

Vanilla Swirl
Notes: sweet vanilla, whipped milk, berry swirl
Vanilla Swirl is in a bit of a similar family as Berry Almond Drizzle (discussed above) as it prominently features sweet berries and vanilla but it does not have that super strong musk. If anything, I might get a bit of a mellow woodsy undertone with it (possible unlisted sandalwood note – ?) Overall, it reminds me a bit of berry ice cream with its sugar-spun sweetness and creaminess. It’s really yummy-smelling!

Sunlit Glow
Notes: sunny citrus, beachside coconut, warm amber
These last two scents (Sunlit Glow & Santorini Coast) are ones that I tend to crave the most once I’m deep into the summer, from mid-July into August. They have rich, golden scents that remind me of beachy, sun-baked skin lathered with old school coconut-scented suntan oil. This one (Sunlit Glow) has a delicious orangey tang to it, along with a cozy musky-woodsy-ambery note and a very solar coconut that has an absolutely perfect late-summer vibe.

Santorini Coast
Notes: creamy coconut, almond blossom, warm vanilla
As mentioned above, I would put Santorini Coast in a very similar category with Sunlit Glow and I think if you like one, you’ll easily like the other as well. Santorini Coast has a warm, deep, coconutty aroma, along with delicious vanilla and almond (3 of my very favorite notes!) It reminds me of an evening out on a warm summer night, wearing your favorite coconut perfume.
